We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, ProcessImprovement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.Responsibilities and DutiesWe’re a ServiceNow Consulting and Implementation (C&I) Partner building a ServiceNow Practice, and we’re looking for a visionary Senior Architect to help lead the way. This is your opportunity to shape OCT’s ServiceNow future from the ground up through designing and delivering AI-enabled, enterprise-grade solutions that streamline processes and transform results for our federal clients. In this role, you’ll be more than a technical expert, you’ll be a strategic partner. You’ll help define our ServiceNow niche, craft our go-to-market strategy, and showcase our capabilities to clients and partners through powerful presentations and demos. Your leadership will directly influence how we grow, differentiate, and win in the market.Day to day, you’ll guide solution design, customization, and cross-module integration ensuring every implementation is scalable, compliant, and impactful. You’ll also work closely with the Practice Director to shape our delivery model, mentor team members, and establish best practices that will fuel long-term success. If you’re ready to make your mark, drive innovation, and grow alongside a new practice with ambitious goals, we’d love to have you help lead the charge.Day-to-day responsibilities include:● Serve as the technical authority for ServiceNow solutions focusing on federal business workflows.● Design, develop, and oversee custom applications and workflows spanning multiple modules.● Participate in strategic and technical discussions with clients and partners.● Define and enforce platform governance, standards, and best practices for customization, integration, and data security.● Ensure that custom solutions remain upgradeable and sustainable.● Collaborate with functional SMEs, business analysts, and developers to translate complex business rules into platform designs.● Integrate ServiceNow with external client systems.● Mentor developers and administrators to strengthen the OCT’s custom development capabilities.● Oversee OCT’s ServiceNow implementations.RequirementsQualifications/Requirements● Must be a U.S. Citizen● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).● 5-7 years of ServiceNow platform experience with at least one full lifecycle implementation.● ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).● Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more domains.● Exposure to AI/ML features within ServiceNow (predictive intelligence, virtual agents, etc.).● Experience leveraging Integration Hub and Flow Designer for automation.● Strong hands-on knowledge of ServiceNow configuration, workflows, scripting (JavaScript/Glide), and integrations.● Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.● Solid understanding of ITIL processes and how they map to ServiceNow.● Experience designing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions, including integrations with external systems.● Strong knowledge of data models, security (roles, ACLs), and platform performance optimization.● Exposure to Agile/DevOps practices (e.g., ServiceNow CICD, update sets, automated testing).● Ability to establish platform governance frameworks, including design standards, technical debt management, and scalability practices.● Deep integration experience (REST, SOAP, SSO, LDAP, API gateways, cloud platforms).● Knowledge of FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, or other federal compliance frameworks.● Active Public Trust or Security Clearance eligibilityPreferred Qualifications● 7+ years of ServiceNow experience, including multi-department or multi-instance architecture.● ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) (or actively pursuing).● Proven track record leading large-scale ServiceNow transformations for enterprise clients.● Recognized thought leader internally: develops best practices, roadmaps, and strategic platform direction.● Strong stakeholder engagement skills — able to influence executives and guide long-term platform adoption.● Experience mentoring junior ServiceNow admins/developers.● Existing Secret or Top-Secret clearance● This role is in the DC area with a hybrid work schedule in McLean, VA.BenefitsBenefitsOCT offers competitive compensation packages and a full suite of benefits which includes:● Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance● Retirement savings 401K plan provided by an industry leading provider with 3%employer contributions of the employee’s gross salary● Paid Time Off and Standard Government Holidays● Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term disability benefits● Training BenefitsSalary Range: OCT offers a competitive salary, benefits, and incentives commensuratewith experience.About OCT ConsultingOCT Consulting LLC is a minority-owned, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) providing professional services and information technology solutions to the Federal government and commercial clients.
