What You'll Do
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute the data product and engineering roadmap, aligned with business objectives and key priorities in the managed care landscape.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, data product managers, and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, identifying opportunities for data-driven decision-making that support improved member outcomes, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Data Product Development:
- Lead the design and development of data products that support clinical, operational, and financial teams within the managed care organization.
- Define product requirements and specifications, ensuring they align with both short-term needs and long-term strategic goals.
- Manage the lifecycle of data products from concept to delivery, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and optimized for end-user needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Provide thought leadership and partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage data for improving patient care, reducing costs, and enhancing business performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 10+ years of experience in data, product management, and analytics within the healthcare or managed care industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, overseeing cross-functional teams and leading data product and analytics initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data sources (e.g., claims, electronic health records, member data) and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).
- Expertise in data analytics principles, tools, and technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, ETL processes).
- Proven track record in developing and scaling data products, particularly in the healthcare or managed care sector.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and privacy, especially in relation to healthcare data.
- Leadership capabilities with a proven ability to lead diverse teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational change.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive consensus.
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively while maintaining focus on strategic goals.
- Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics within a healthcare context.
- Familiarity with healthcare claims data, member outcomes, and performance-based contracting models.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This position is remotely based in the U.S.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $210,000 - $220,000. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
