Job DescriptionJob Description

Urgently seeking a qualified Radiology Technician for a hospital in Yonkers, NY. This is a full-time 8 week contract with the option to extend. 

Start Date: ASAP

Available shift times: Days, 9AM to 5PM; Evenings, 11PM to 7AM; and Nights, 12PM to 8PM                                        (5x7.5 hours, 37.50 total hours per week)

Weekly Gross: $2,300 

Travel Stipend is offered to applicants living more than 50 miles from the hospital. 

Requirements:

  • valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by the NYSDOH
  • certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • At least 1 year of Radiologic Tech experience 

Job Description:

  • assists radiologists in X-Ray procedures
  • draws contrast media, mixes barium and maintains daily work log
  • position and transfers patients to and from x-ray table using proper safety techniques 
  • assist physician in administering opaque media, and during fluoroscopy exam 
  • dispose of biomedical waste using CDC and OSHA guidelines
