We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Mechanic to join our auto repair shop. The Master Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles while ensuring the highest quality of service.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Diagnostics and Repairs
- Perform advanced diagnostic procedures on vehicles using state-of-the-art tools and software.
- Repair and maintain all vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Guide and mentor junior technicians and apprentices.
- Provide training on advanced diagnostic techniques and repair methods.
- Review team repairs to ensure quality and compliance with shop standards.
Customer Interaction
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostics and recommend repairs.
- Provide accurate repair estimates and timelines.
- Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction with repair services.
Maintenance of Tools and Equipment
- Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of shop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Recommend new tools or equipment as needed to enhance shop efficiency.
Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols within the shop.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair methods.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal automotive regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
- Skills:
- Expertise in advanced diagnostics and repair of a wide range of vehicles.
- Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and computer diagnostics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple repair jobs efficiently.
- Tools: Must own a complete set of professional-grade tools.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree preferred.
