Job Description

In this role, you will coordinate the mechanical design team's work through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project. You will establish meetings with governing agencies for code compliance and participate in reviews. You will also coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule, conduct site visits, review mechanical documents, write specifications, select equipment, and take responsibility for incorporating agreed-upon changes into project documents.

Requirements

  • You must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Prior experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings is required.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is necessary.
  • Experience in commercial or institutional facilities, computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE, or similar software, manufacturer selection software, and previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm are also required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical emphasis is preferred.
  • Healthcare OSHPD/HCAI, Education, Laboratories, Data Centers, Science and Technology, and/or Civic facilities experience is desired but not required.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $84,000 to $125,000 depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
