We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Senior Mechanical Systems Coordinator. In this role, you will play a key part in the schematic design development and contract document phase of projects.

You will coordinate with the project manager and other disciplines to establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance. Your workload will be coordinated to ensure timely completion of documents, and you will conduct site work sessions as needed.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing mechanical documents for conflicts with other disciplines, writing and editing specifications, selecting equipment and systems, and coordinating with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders.

You will also provide construction contract administration as needed and conduct quality assurance/quality control on the work of other engineers and technicians.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $98,000 to $145,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Previous experience in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional buildings
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with MS Office, Trane TRACE, or similar software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical system design
  • Healthcare OSHPD/HCAI, Education, Laboratories, Data Centers, Science and Technology, and/or Civic facilities experience
