Overview Of The Team And Role

In the SAP.iO Venture Studio, we’re transforming the way SAP builds new businesses. We identify promising talent and ideas, invest between $750K and $2.5M in seed stage capital, and scale the ventures over time. You should be ambitious and energized by helping customers solve their problems with technology. This is your opportunity to contribute to the growth of a new start-up, in a VC-style incubator, with the backing of one of the most impactful brands in enterprise software.

SAP is currently looking for a Senior UX Researcher to work with the New Ventures Studio team. You will be challenged with doing a variety of qualitative and quantitative research studies either remote or and in person. They may range from Discovery interviews to usability studies, field / contextual-inquiry studies, surveys, and competitive assessments.

As our UX Researcher, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-disciplinary small teams and with customers to conduct user research for our various new ventures within different new ventures in our I/O organization. In the role of UX Researcher, you must be able to work and adapt to a fluid, fast-paced environment. And have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Technology

  • Standard user-research tools, e.g., MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Word, MS Excel, SurveyMonkey, Figma, Miiro, Zoom, etc.
  • Develop and track user-research needs and goals for multiple projects; defining user-research plans, e.g., applying research methods and conducting activities to best address simultaneous research questions.
  • Design and conduct light weight user research to support product initiatives.
  • Document and present visual and actionable research findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to help them iteratively design solutions that satisfy project goals.
  • Evangelize the value and proper use of user research to address business needs.

Key Essentials

  • MS or equivalent interdisciplinary educational background.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Mastery of a broad set of research methods, e.g., interviews, surveys, usability evaluations, field studies, basic quantitative analyses, online tracking experiments, log-analytic studies, and quantitative analyses.

Preferred

  • Ability to quickly acquire knowledge about various and varied domain technology, goals, & use cases
  • Ability to fluidly learn and apply knowledge to functionality etc. of product concepts and/or products to be researched.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 101,300 - 210,000 USD USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
