MRO Inventory Control Clerk

NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.
We are looking for a MRO Inventory Control Clerk to support requisitioning, receiving, and inventory control functions for MRO, “Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations,” using inventory control systems, audits, and other offline tools. This position Maintenance department by following procedures and best practices related to requisitioning goods/services, receiving, inventory control, and tracking preventative maintenance activities at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates requisitions and works with Purchasing and Maintenance to ensure goods deliveries are met; communicates issues related to receiving, damaged goods, and inventory discrepancies are resolved. Follow up activities on requisition status, approval of POs with the Purchasing Department, and provides requesting managers for status of requisition.
- Performs inspections and receiving of incoming goods; ensures physical inspections are performed and 3-way match protocols are followed.
- Assists in the rollout of inventory control and performance maintenance systems; supports organization and cataloging of inventory in tool room and other MRO supplies; provides input on processes, procedures, and workflow.
- Generates work orders and/or helps mechanics generate works orders as needed; performs follow up related to work order activities. Performs data analysis of maintenance for management reporting.
- Maintains the plant maintenance database (AMMS), including vendor files, spare parts data, inventories and equipment histories.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred; or any equivalent combination of training, experience and education that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- 2 years’ related warehouse experience with a focus on requisitioning, receiving, inventory control, or similar role.
- 2 years’ experience in operating a computer and manufacturing-related applications, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, inventory management software, preferably AMMS, and knowledge of day-to-day operations of food processing facility.
- Good knowledge of principles and practices of inventory control, supply chain, and warehouse operations management, including inventory control systems and associated software.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check including employment and educational verification, and work extended hours and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.
Compensation:
The wage range is $21 - $24, based on experience and qualifications.
