TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:
This is a full-time, 12-month, benefited position in the 3000 broadband, exempt from FLSA (not overtime eligible).

SALARY:
$63,000+ (dependent on experience) minimum annual salary plus a competitive benefit package including a generous retirement plan and employer paid family health insurance.

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Financial Systems the Financials Business Analyst is responsible for providing functional expertise for the development, implementation, and support of the Financials system to support NDUS business objectives and provide training tools for campus users. This is primarily a business, not a technical, position, and focuses primarily on the Financials modules and provides functional support for the PeopleSoft Grants and Contracts modules along with basic support across all modules including; T&E, GT Forms, General Ledger, and Commitment Control and Budgeting. This position serves as a backup for P2P, Suppliers, 1099s, pCard and banking and may be cross trained in other modules based on need. Training for this position will be onsite in Fargo, ND.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of recent work experience in financials.
  • Experience and/or expertise related to PeopleSoft Financials.
  • Ability to provide and uphold excellent customer service standards.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with an established track record for functioning as a strong team member.
  • Proficient in Office 365 and/or Microsoft Suite programs (SharePoint, OneNote, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Occasional travel within North Dakota is required for this position.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule which may include after business hours and weekends, on rare occasions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Higher Education.
  • Previous experience in grants, contracts, general ledger, commitment control, budgeting or asset management.
  • Experience developing training materials and delivering training content.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, fund (Gov’t) accounting, uniform guidance, GASB, GAAP, or financial statement preparation.
