Kale Chef Service is a gourmet catering service, charcuterie bar, and in-home chef service specializing in farm-to-table cuisine, grazing + charcuterie boards, and artisan foods. Based in North Scottsdale, we’ve catered thousands of events over the past decade.
Job OverviewJob Title: In Home Chef
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule- Tues – Thurs: 8:30 AM – 5 PM, Fri – Sat: 12:30 PM – 9 PM (includes 30 min lunch break) – Please note hours may fluctuate based on business volume.
As an In Home Chef, you are responsible for fabricating proteins, preparing and portioning food by our daily production schedule, and following recipes according to company standards and the health department. Ability to make simple baked goods and pastries (e.g., cookies, brownies, etc.)
Job Requirements- Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a scratch kitchen (restaurant, caterer) as a Lead Line Cook, Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or Private Chef.
- Has consistently worked at the same restaurant, caterer, or client for a minimum of 3+ years
- Attention to detail
- Food Handlers Card (Food Manager Certification Preferred)
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours a day
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs
- Ability to work in hot and/or cold work environments
- Legal to work in the U.S.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to our production schedule
- Work fast in an efficient manner
- Professional, Clean, Warm, Inviting, and Personable demeanor
- Ability to follow directions, complete tasks, and work well with others
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Driver's License
- Positive ‘Can Do’ Attitude
- Self Starter
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills
