The Department of Management, Marketing, Logistics, & Business Analytics at the University of Alaska Anchorage seeks to hire a non-tenure-track Instructor of Management/Communication, with a start date of August 2025. Candidates must hold a graduate degree in Management, Business Communications, or a closely-related discipline. The successful candidate is expected to teach in-person and online undergraduate courses in management (such as Managerial Communications and Business Foundations) to a diverse student body.
As a Term Instructor of Management/Communications in the College of Business & Public Policy you will teach courses such as Managerial Communications and Business Foundations, provide mentorship to undergraduate students, and serve on university committees.
To thrive in this role, applicants should possess:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated or potential for successful teaching on topics of managerial communications and business foundations.
Strong technical skills and ability to effectively deliver distance education.
Ability to represent the department in the university/community.
Collegial attitude
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Management, Business Communications, or a related field (e.g., business communications) at the time of initial appointment. Ph.D. or DBA in Management, Business Communications, or a closely related discipline, preferred.
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a full-time, 9-month, term-funded, non-tenure track, faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, faculty time off (FTO), 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. Faculty salaries are based on a variety of factors, including education and experience.
