Supply Coordinator

Our team of healthcare professionals positively impacts the health, well-being and quality of life for those we serve providing comprehensive, integrated, affordable healthcare and education to patients. We utilize a team-based model including embedded Behavioral Health Clinicians as well as Case Managers, Care Coordinators and Community Health Workers.
We are seeking a Supply Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for establishing appropriate par levels in coordination with the relevant staff. The role includes working with vendors to create a tracking mechanism and a standing order system that will automatically replenish supplies in a timely manner based on historical usage trends. Additionally, the Supply Coordinator will ensure that sufficient replacement parts for medical equipment and instrumentation are maintained and will assist the Facilities Coordinator in coordinating the repair and annual calibration of medical equipment.
Education: High School education or equivalent. Associate Degree preferred.
Experience: Experience of at least two years with responsibility for purchasing activities, medical preferred.
Skills/Knowledge: Computer skills; self-directed, high-level organizational skills, time management and follow-through.
Compensation: The starting rate for this position is $22.00 per hour, which reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your rate will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
Responsibilities:
- Act as purchasing agent for all locations coordinating purchases to maximize quantity discounts due to economies of scale while maintaining appropriate product quality standards
- Maintaining relationships with medical and office supply vendors
- Responsible for coordination of bids and solicitation of competitive pricing, i.e. annual office supply and cleaning supply proposals.
- Maintaining inventory control and par levels of stock rooms at all locations
- Responsible for monitoring the budget line for Amoskeag Health medical supplies and office supplies. Reporting any trends developing and suggesting alternative methods for obtaining lowest possible cost.
- Responsible for completing regular retrospective analysis of previous three months of utilization and adjusting standing order appropriately to assure that there are accurate par levels in accordance with budgetary expectations.
- Establish a weekly ordering system so that a standing shipment is received weekly so there is always sufficient stock.
- Responsible for working with Clinical Manager and CMO to establish inventory for medical equipment and instruments needed at all locations.
- Responsible for stocking of replacement parts for medical.
- Responsible for ordering of lunches/other catered meals.
- Assist in the implementation of new ordering systems and procedures when necessary
- Responsible for maintaining a full understanding of the ordering system, how it works and the authorization routing rules for order approvals (electronic system NetSuite)
- Responsible for assisting users in understanding the purchase order process, providing user training where needed and guiding users through the system when needed
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
