Our client, a leading manufacturer in Western, NC, has an immediate need for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team to gear up for new business expected in 2025. Perm Salary DOE with a mid point at $108K.

 

Day to day job responsibilities:

- Utilizing lean manufacturing and process improvement experience to assess and recommend process improvements to facilitate production efficiencies by way of project recommendations.

- Provide training in Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S to improve knowledge and understanding of the company’s workforce.

- Oversee the 5S program at the facility and encourage engagement from all levels of employees within the facility.

- Host monthly or bi-monthly Kaizen burst events designed to create a constant awareness of continuous improvement.

- Lead workshops with Engineering team and production team on helpful resources and tools.

 

Technical Environment:

- The candidate will be working throughout the entire production facility analyzing processes and making recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies. Will be working with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and SAP. Needs to be proficient in Microsoft Office product.

 

4 Must haves for the position:

- 8+ years experience with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred).

- Engineering degree (Bachelors or Associates) and experience in manufacturing or lab environment.

- 4+ years leadership experience with Kaizen Events.

- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
