Job Title: Air Import Agent
Location: Torrance, CA
Job Type: Full-Time, On-site
Salary: $21-$23/hour

We are seeking an experienced Air Import Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient importation of goods by air, coordinating with airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee daily import shipments
  • Run pre-arrival reports and process files for shipments consigned to the Gateways
  • Receive and verify pre-alerts, checking E-docs for accuracy
  • Request and update arrival information from air carriers
  • Track and trace consignments, coordinating airport transfers
  • Verify accuracy of AMS information against the manifest, resolving discrepancies
  • Arrange Warehouse transfers and update in-transit gateway notifications
  • Provide manifests and necessary permits to CFS daily
  • Arrange payments of Import Service Charges (ISC) through platforms such as CargoSprint, Paycargo, etc.
  • Record and track incidents such as delays and damages, and handle preliminary claims
  • Ensure proper completion of all accounting procedures and job costing
  • Perform additional duties as requested

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Air Import operations within freight forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding regulations and requirements
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
  • Bilingual in English and another language is a plus
