Seeking a Telecommunications Regulatory Specialist experienced in compliance for wireless telecommunications industry. We are seeking an individual who has expertise in federal and state regulations on height and lighting for cell tower sites, environmental issues or concerns, backlog and delay experience.

The Regulatory Specialist will prepare and file FCC/FAA applications and supporting documentation concerning tower erection, modifications and antenna installations. Review permits and documents to track compliance with regulations and company policy. Review and approve/disapprove Regulatory Notice to Proceed (RNTP) for all tower sites.

Responsibilities of the Telecom Regulatory Specialist includes:

  • Review scope of work (modification, collocation, new easement), apply knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations to determine whether any further assessment or regulatory filings are needed to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Order or complete assessments, regulatory filings or other regulatory documentation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with FCC ad FAA personnel, local, state and federal offices
  • Research, analyze and respond to inquiries from internal and eternal customers for site regulatory information
  • Assemble and maintain accurate and thorough regulatory approvals and documentation to facilitate regulatory compliance.
  • Develop proficiency in interpreting, communicating and implementing FAA, FCC and NEPA guidelines
Education/skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance
  • knowledge of wireless/telecom industry
  • Experience in preparation or review of FAA forms 7460-1 and 7460-2, FCC forms 854 and state departments of transportation applications, including support documents such as site surveys and U.S.G.S. quad maps.
  • Experience in pre-construction evaluation and permitting including NEPA review.
