Position: Full Stack Developer

Nature of the Role: The qualified candidate will provide Website development and application Software Development to support Government website. The candidate will provide technical expertise and support existing and emerging technologies essential to support the infrastructure for the Government website used for ongoing and future analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Support existing modern front-end, back-end and database solutions
  • Develop, test and implement new solutions
  • Conversion of classic ASP to Java, HTML and JavaScript
  • Conversion of .NET to Java
  • Updating older Java applications
  • Problem investigation, debug and resolution skills

Requirements:

  • Candidate will be working full-time in a Department of Defense laboratory onsite
  • 5+ years experience of software engineering and development
  • 5+ years experience as a full stack developer using Java, Tomcat, JavaScript
  • 5+ years extensive experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery
  • 5+ years experience with web technologies
  • Experience with a responsive design for desktop web applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS or related field
  • Experience with MSSQL or other relational database
  • Ability to work in self-directed fashion, asking for assistance as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and mitigation skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Java, JSON, Tomcat or other application server
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, jQuery
  • Experience with DataTables, REST
  • MSSQL
  • Knowledge of .NET C#
  • Knowledge of VBSCRIPT
  • User experience with PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, 10
  • SVN, SVN Tortoise
  • Jira issue and project tracking software
  • Unit, functional, E2E testing experience

Work Location: Middletown, RI
