Position Overview: The IT and Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the IT infrastructure, systems, and services to support efficient and secure business operations. This role includes leading a team of technology professionals, coordinating
projects, ensuring security compliance, and overseeing the deployment and maintenance of all technology systems. The IT and Systems Administrator will be expected to lead the department’s strategic initiatives and serve as a liaison between IT and other departments, including executive leadership, to identify and implement technology solutions that support business objectives.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor IT staff, handling training, performance, and evaluations.
  • Oversee IT projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Align IT strategy with business goals, keeping updated on tech trends.
  • Manage department budget, optimize resources, and approve vendor contracts.
  • Develop policies to meet regulatory standards and ensure security.
  • Act as IT liaison to other departments, aligning IT services with business needs.

IT Responsibilities:

  • Oversee server infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
  • Manage network components and ensure cybersecurity across the organization.
  • Maintain enterprise applications, handle upgrades, integrations, and fixes.
  • Ensure secure data storage and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the help desk team, ensuring timely support and tracking incidents.
  • Manage vendor relations, contracts, and licensing.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery and continuity plans.

Technology Stack:

  • The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the following technologies:
  • Servers and Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V
  • Network Equipment and Software: Cisco or similar
  • Company Phones: RingCentral or similar
  • Company Security Camera Systems
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
  • Enterprise Applications: ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), OmniView, other
  • industry-specific applications
  • Cybersecurity Tools: Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, email security, DLP
  • Backup and Recovery Tools
  • Collaboration Tools: Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Zoom
  • Help Desk Software: Zendesk, Jira Service Desk, and similar

Other company software and hardware as needed, at the discretion of your supervisor.

Supervision Received: The position is supervised by the Operations Manager.
Supervision Exercised: Supervises all other IT and Systems Administration staff.

Qualifications & Skills:
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (unless board exempt)

  • 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
  • 1 years management experience.
  • Ability to be on call 24/7.
  • Ability to travel for work without notice, anywhere and any time.

MINIMUM TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Organized
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to handle multiple projects
  • Positive attitude even under stress
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Driver's License
  • Ability to pass a background check

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree or minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role
  • 5 years management experience.
