Position: Assistant Chief Engineer
Location: Stamford, CT
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 (plus bonus, medical insurance, 401k, PTO, and more)

This sophisticated property boasts over 500 rooms, offering guests a premier experience with top-tier accommodations, fine dining, and a serene spa.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual looking to take the next step in their career. As the Assistant Chief Engineer, you’ll play a key role in managing the hotel's engineering department and will have the potential to move into the leadership role within a couple of years.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in leading the engineering and maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
  • Create a positive, rewarding work environment that fosters teamwork and professional development
  • Implement and maintain systems and procedures to ensure operational excellence
  • Oversee financial aspects of the department, focusing on cost-effective solutions and budget management
  • Provide hands-on leadership and training for a team of 5+ engineering staff

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in maintenance in a 300+ room resort or hotel
  • At least 3 years of experience in a #2 leadership position within a similar environment
  • Expertise in managing maintenance operations for large properties
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a diverse team
  • Solid technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance (drywall, painting, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on systems and procedures
  • A natural leader who can build a close-knit, family-like work environment
