The CT Technologist
Provides essential diagnostic imaging services on a permanent basis across hospital facilities. The primary responsibility is to operate CT (Computed Tomography) equipment, performing scans that aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients. This role demands adaptability to diverse clinical settings, offering a dynamic and enriching work experience. By collaborating with healthcare teams, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring patient comfort, the Travel CT Technologist plays a critical role in supporting patient care and contributing to the overall excellence of diagnostic services in healthcare.
Responsibilities
Imaging Procedure Execution: Assist in performing high-quality CT scans as directed by radiologists and physicians, ensuring accurate diagnostic results.
Patient Support: Provide support and reassurance to patients during imaging procedures, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensuring a positive experience.
Image Quality Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the quality of images produced, making adjustments as needed to ensure clear and accurate diagnostic information.
Patient Positioning: Instruct and assist patients in positioning themselves correctly for CT scans to ensure optimal image capture and safety during the procedure.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure CT imaging equipment is regularly cleaned, calibrated, and maintained to meet safety and performance standards, ready for use in different healthcare environments.
Qualifications
Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT or eligible for certification.
Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience as a CT Technologist preferred.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team and patients.
Licenses and Certifications
Licensure: Must hold a valid state license as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice, if applicable.
Certification: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography is required, with additional certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
Continuing Education: Must maintain current certification through continuing education and compliance with ARRT and state requirements.
