At St. John's Episcopal Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in southern Queens County and southwestern Nassau County, New York.

Celebrating over 110 years of community care, our 257-bed facility provides comprehensive preventive, diagnostic treatment and rehabilitative services to people of all faiths, regardless of ability to pay.

The successful candidate will operate ultrasound diagnostic equipment to produce 2-dimensional ultrasonic patterns and positive pictures of arterial and vascular studies for use by professional personnel in diagnosis of disease.

Key responsibilities include performing duplex vascular scans, including 2D, color, and pulsed wave Doppler examinations, evaluating arterial and venous structures, and measuring and calculating percent of stenosis of arteries and presence of deep vein thrombosis, plus ABI and PUR studies.

Additionally, the Vascular Ultrasound Technologist will operate ultrasound diagnostic equipment, perform sonography exams, explain the process to patients, and instruct and assist patients in assuming physical positions for required exposure to ultrasound waves.

Preferred qualifications include at least 1 year of experience in a hospital setting.
