HVAC Comfort Advisor

As a Residential HVAC Equipment Sales Specialist, the selected candidate will be part of an organization that built its reputation over the past 75 years by providing our customers with the best service for less. The company provides you with sales leads. In addition, you will be expected to generate your own leads to convert into sales of residential HVAC systems and equipment. This is a highly visible position in which you will not only make customer presentations and close deals, but will also work with the installation teams to ensure quality work that is consistent with the company's reputation for exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will use his/her previous HVAC expertise to advise homeowners on the best possible HVAC products including oil and gas boilers & furnaces, central ac systems including ducted, mini splits and high-velocity systems and other services for their homes. The keys to success require a consultative sales approach providing honest and intelligent solutions determining the best solution for the customer.

  • Analyze HVAC system situations, which may include in home visits, for customer's/prospect’s situation
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations
  • Update Home Equipment Profiles
  • Adhere to credit policies for customers and non-customers
  • Design diagrams and layouts of HVAC systems
  • Prepare installation/terms documentation and equipment materials list
  • Prepare sales contract, obtain signature, secure down payment and submit to the Installation Department in a timely manner
  • Timely follow-up to resolve questions, concerns and problems with customers as well as the installation team.
  • Solicit referrals
  • Market other services (such as oil) and complete required documentation
  • Achieve sales objectives as set forth by the company for the assigned area through company leads and self-generated leads, as is required. Follow up unsold proposals.
  • Keep abreast of technological developments impacting the industry

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Solid background in the residential HVAC industry required
  • Proven sales experience is required, including experience in estimating and composing all paperwork and documents required to sell the products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and active listening skills as well as, the ability to interact effectively with both customers and coworkers
  • Proficient computer skills using pc’s with Microsoft Word, Excel and heat load programs as well as other IT programs
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet the company's motor vehicle policy
  • Evening and weekend availability required based on customer needs.
