Reporting to NESN’s VP of Sales, Dining Playbook’s Sales & Marketing Manager will help lead a talented team in producing some of the most successful food and dining programs in New England alongside Emmy Award winners Billy Costa and Jenny Johnson. From orchestrating the production, to driving sales, to interfacing with clients, to conceptualizing and executing social media campaigns, to engaging the hospitality industry, to ensuring seamless workflow and communication between sales, events, clients, on-air talent and production staff for Dining Playbook (DPB) and all programming under this brand inclusive of Meet Boston and new potential shows. The Sales & Marketing Manager will serve a key leadership role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work to optimize entire Dining Playbook team’s performance and workflows
  • Provide insights for NESN’s Production and Operations managers for reviews and evaluations of DPB staff
  • Manage sponsor sales cycle for larger sales group from approvals to executions to revenue reconciliation
  • Lead negotiations and build relationships for select endemic sponsors generating commissions for sales made
  • Create Master Template PowerPoint presentations for sales team for Dining Playbook opportunities
  • Develop and build on value grids and pricing to normalize sales process
  • Collaborate with VP Sales on revenue analysis while maintaining DPB revenue reports in WO
  • Oversee elements of the production schedule for Dining Playbook to include calling clients and explaining shoots; organize, schedule and prep participants for shoots.
  • Liaise weekly with advertisers about upcoming events that they would like us to promote; act as the liaison between advertisers and Producer/Host
  • Assist finance in retrieving payment for outstanding invoices
  • Provide recaps for clients on a monthly or weekly basis
  • Manage social media for clients and oversee social media strategy
  • Stay abreast New England’s restaurants trends, new openings and closings
  • Follows up and expedites the flow of information between NESN, the show and its clients
  • Alerts and interacts with internal team members, peers and/or managers to exchange semi-routine information related to assigned show
  • Process and transcribe scripts per client request
  • Attends weekly sales meetings and ensure pertinent information is relayed to show producer
  • Outlining and managing clients video needs with videographers
  • Responsible for creating, implementing 5 core client events over the course of the year, managing partnerships, creating event flow

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience in marketing, sales and/or public relations
  • Knowledge of digital media and sponsorship coordination is strongly preferred
  • Proficient with MS Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; proven ability to learn and apply new software applications quickly; solid research skills
  • Superb organizational and multi-tasking skills, and ability to successfully prioritize; must be detail-oriented
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively in team environment; good ability to work in a fast paced, loosely structured, growing and changing work environment
  • Must have a high level of professionalism, pleasant demeanor and positive attitude
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
