Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist with prior experience in HHS/ CDC/CMS/FDC to analyze complex healthcare datasets, develop advanced machine learning models, and provide actionable insights that drive clinical and operational strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, AI, ML, and healthcare-specific expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Interpretation:

  • Analyze and interpret complex healthcare data sets, using statistical and machine learning methods to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop and implement data models and algorithms to address clinical and operational challenges.
  • Create data visualizations and reports to present findings to healthcare stakeholders, including clinicians and administrators.

Machine Learning & AI Development:

  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Experiment with and implement various machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques tailored for healthcare applications.
  • Evaluate model performance and iteratively improve model accuracy and efficiency in real-world healthcare settings.

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Utilize domain knowledge in healthcare to provide insights and recommendations that address industry-specific challenges, such as patient care optimization and resource allocation.
  • Stay updated on healthcare trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to ensure the application of best practices and innovative solutions.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, healthcare providers, and business analysts, to integrate data-driven solutions into clinical workflows.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and outcomes.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple data science projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals specific to healthcare initiatives.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, with a focus on data analytics, AI, and ML in the healthcare sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in a production healthcare environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on patient-centric outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities tailored to healthcare stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, including clinical data analysis or healthcare operations.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) in the context of healthcare applications.
