Wedding/Event Designer

Description:

The Wedding/Event Designer at In Bloom Florist should be self-motivated, with a positive can-do attitude. You will need the ability to work within tight timelines. Must be able to communicate clearly with team lead and coworkers both written and verbally. Designers should be well seasoned in weddings and floral design events.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize the completion of orders based on delivery date, time frame, and product availability, etc.

  • Thorough knowledge of floral and a passion for design.

  • Make traditional corsages, bouquets, and centerpieces, as well as other kinds of original designs using inspiration pictures provided.

  • Take direction from the lead designer and work as a team player.

  • Fulfill large and small orders by working with a wide range of foliage and flowers.

  • Communicate with the Buyer, Event Design Supervisor and the Event Staff to meet expectations and deadlines.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have 3-5 Years of Wedding/Event Floral and Design work experience.

  • Guest service mentality; is sociable and friendly and has a genuine desire to serve the customer.

  • Good verbal communication and listening skills.

  • Ability to follow detailed directions.

  • Self starter who is energetic and flexible.

  • Maintains a calm, tactful demeanor when dealing with difficult situations.

  • Prioritizes responsibilities to achieve results.

  • Forms strong working relationships within a team.

How You Can Stand Out

  • Have 3+ years floral design experience

  • Be able to create beautiful arrangements quickly in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Weekend and Holiday availability

  • Knowledge of floral products and techniques.
