ABOUT THE JOB

Design Release Engineers at Revology Cars are engaged in a wide variety of activities to support our product development and manufacturing operations. Depending on your specific assignment, your responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

  • Develop vehicle components and subassemblies that meet functional requirements and investment and variable cost targets.
  • Develop multiple concurrent prototype and production 3D vehicle data and 2D automobile part drawings to communicate requirements and manufacturing needs to in-house fabricators and outsourced suppliers.
  • Develop DFMEAs (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to ensure all automotive components and systems meet the required standards and specifications through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Work with purchasing and supplier teams to source new components and interface with suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Design, create, test, analyze, and update production fixtures used to position, sub assemble, and hold meaningful levels of tolerance on automobile parts and assemblies such as suspension, body, steering, seats, controls, electronics, etc.
  • Write work instructions to explain the use of fixtures, templates, and application of parts to the production process.
  • Communicate and collaborate with production teams regarding process changes, part changes, fixtures, and scheduling.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field from ABET accredited school.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automotive components and systems and genuine passion for automobiles and driving.
  • Proficient in CAD modeling (solid or surface) and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Catia V5 is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of processes and methodologies to ensure repeatability.
  • Knowledge of materials and processes relevant to low volume production and prototyping.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and document multiple projects effectively.


PAY AND BENEFITS

  • $75-115k base salary, depending on experience.
