Job Overview:
As an Estimator at Babylon Body Shop, you will play a key role in assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and managing parts orders. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate bookkeeping related to estimates and parts inventory. Your attention to detail and knowledge of the automotive repair process will help ensure timely, high-quality repairs and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and assess vehicle damage to determine the extent of repairs needed
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE)
  • Collaborate with technicians, customers, and insurance adjusters to ensure all repairs are properly documented
  • Communicate repair needs and cost breakdowns clearly to customers
  • Monitor and update repair progress, ensuring timely completion of repairs
  • Order and manage parts inventory, ensuring that all necessary parts are available for repair jobs
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records related to estimates, parts orders, and expenses
  • Manage vendor relationships for parts ordering and pricing negotiations

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an estimator in an auto body shop or similar environment
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., CCC ONE)
  • Strong knowledge of collision repair processes and auto body materials
  • Experience in bookkeeping, parts ordering, and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
