Associate Product Manager

Summary:
The Associate Product Manager supports and helps lead DecoPac’s go-to-market strategies for innovative products and services that are rooted in consumer insights and marketplace needs. The Associate Product Manager will be an integral part of the team, driving efforts with market insight, competitive positioning, product lifecycle management, assortment planning and new business development, as well as sales team support for assigned product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead product line strategy and tactical planning efforts for assigned products, programs and formats through their full lifecycle (inception to end of life) in order to achieve business goals.
- Develop and lead program execution planning and delivery with cross-functional business partners including Design, Marketing, Sales, Procurement and Digital.
- Understand and utilize market insight, data analytics and trends to guide strategies and program direction.
- Leverage data and analytics to effectively measure and communicate insights on product performance and required course-correction.
- Support and deliver expertise for assigned categories, inclusive of product knowledge, competitive landscape, customer path-to-purchase, product/service market opportunities, gap analysis and market insight.
- Provide support to Sales and Marketing partners to maximize program placement and execution success.
- Drive the set-up and execution of new products, and related product lifecycle management of assigned product programs / lines.
- Coordinate efforts related to line management, planograms, product specs and retail program configuration.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and collaboration skills with cross functional partners.
Qualifications
- BA/BS in business, marketing or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Broad business acumen with project management capabilities. Consumer / food products, branding and packaging experience a plus.
- Natural tendency to be curious, positive, and creative

- Superior communication skills – written, verbal, presentation
- Exceptional analytical skills and strategic thinking ability
- Ability to communicate, influence and build relationships with a cross-functional team
Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or hear, and/or use hands to fingers, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds while moving files or small packages. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Mental Demands consist of frequently interpret data, make decisions, organize, problem solve, and time management.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role. Work is performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.
