Why is the Supply Chain Manager role important to us?

Quickparts is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our supplier relationships and ensure the efficient delivery of products and services to our customers.

The Supply Chain Manager will develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, identify and onboard new suppliers, and manage supplier performance to meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery standards. This role is critical in ensuring that Quickparts remains competitive in the market by securing high-quality materials and services at optimal costs while also driving continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to support our manufacturing operations
  • Maintain and update a database of active and inactive suppliers
  • Manage supplier performance metrics, including:
    • Quote speed
    • Quality (customer complaint rate, audit performance, certifications)
    • On-time delivery
    • Cost performance
    • Volume allocation
  • Evaluate quotes returned from suppliers and negotiate terms to achieve the best value
  • Negotiate and manage master agreements with suppliers
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, addressing any issues promptly and effectively
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align supply chain activities with company objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes and supplier relationships

You might be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiation and vendor management
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and efficiency
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • A strategic thinker with a passion for continuous improvement in supply chain operations
