Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AVEVA Electrical and Instrumentation Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed electrical and instrumentation (E&I) drawings, schematics, and data sheets, and integrating these designs with ETAP for detailed calculations and 3D modeling for cable routing. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and the ability to work with AVEVA software to create and manage complex designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development:

    • Create detailed electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and data sheets using AVEVA software.
    • Develop 3D models for cable routing and ensure integration with other systems.
    • Perform quality checks to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Integration and Collaboration:

    • Integrate electrical designs with ETAP for detailed calculations, analysis, and system optimization.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, and civil engineers to ensure cohesive and coordinated designs.
    • Participate in design reviews, providing input and ensuring that designs meet all project requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain and update design documentation, including revision control and archiving.
    • Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assist in the preparation of procurement specifications and vendor document reviews.
  • Technical Support:

    • Provide technical support during the construction and installation phases, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) and providing as-built documentation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues, ensuring timely resolution to maintain project schedules.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Stay updated on the latest developments in AVEVA software and related industry tools.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes, efficiency, and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • Experience in electrical and instrumentation design.
    • Proven experience with AVEVA software suite (e.g., AVEVA Electrical, AVEVA Instrumentation).
    • Experience with ETAP for electrical system analysis and 3D modelling software for cable routing.
