About the Role

This is a hybrid position that offers the opportunity to work from our Downtown Chicago Office (3 days a week) and remotely (2 days a week). As a member of our Nuclear Power Group, you will be part of a multi-discipline engineering team involved in instrumentation and controls projects for nuclear power plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on projects that involve the integration of electrical, computer, and mechanical engineering with control theory.
  • Prepare specifications for the procurement of instrumentation and control equipment, as well as engineering calculations.
  • Collaborate with electronic process sensors, digital controllers, network topology, touchscreen displays, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam turbines, and reactors.
  • Develop and implement digitalization strategies to improve the efficiency and safety of nuclear power plants.
  • Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for project coordination and field verification of designs.
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Strong academic background and coursework in analog and digital control systems.
  • Coursework in mechatronics is desired but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
