 As a CNC Plasma Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that metal components are accurately cut and meet the specific engineering requirements outlined in customer drawings. Your expertise in layout and stretch outs will be essential in guaranteeing precision while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CNC plasma cutting machines following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine the layout and specifications for components and parts.
  • Develop and implement proper layout and stretch-out techniques for maximizing material efficiency and minimizing waste.
  • Perform set-up of the CNC plasma cutter, including adjustments to speeds, feeds, and nozzle types as per job requirements.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks throughout the cutting process to ensure parts meet customer specifications and engineering standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, including machine malfunctions and inaccuracies in the cut.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all company safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to discuss project timelines, processes, and optimize workflows.
  • Document production activities to ensure compliance with quality control measures and operations management.

Qualifications:

·        Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC plasma cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of metal fabrication processes and techniques, particularly relating to layout and stretch out.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding engineering drawings and blueprints.

·        Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable operating machinery and working in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
