SUMMARY DESCRIPTION


The Product Manager for Business Travel Solutions takes a leading role in creating and delivering innovative products that redefine the business travel experience. This position focuses on uncovering and deeply understanding customer needs, then translating those insights into impactful solutions through strategic product development, streamlined processes, and well-defined usage scenarios. As the owner of the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept to market launch—this role ensures that the solutions delivered meet the dynamic needs of global travel suppliers and corporate distributors. Working in close collaboration with the Head of Business Travel Solutions, engineering teams, and other cross-functional departments at DerbySoft, the Product Manager plays a pivotal role in turning ideas into reality and driving meaningful impact in the business travel industry.


KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Identify and Plan Product Development: Investigate customer requests and market needs, analyze competitors' products, and design the BTS product development roadmap in alignment with the company’s strategy.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Head of BTS and coordinate with the business, engineering, product, operations, and marketing teams to manage the full products life cycle.

  • Understand User Pain Points: Utilize user-behavior analysis and research to deeply understand customer “pain points” and enhance the product user experience.

  • Translate Requirements into Action: Communicate product requirements clearly to internal stakeholders, coordinate with technology, risk, and branding teams, and turn these into detailed PRDs as needed to ensure a smooth product launch.

  • Resolve Challenges: Address daily challenges in product management to ensure the financial and market success of the product.

  • Measure and Improve: Define and monitor product success metrics, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance product features and maintain competitive advantages.

  • Drive Innovation: Identify new market opportunities, foster innovation, and achieve breakthroughs in business growth for both customers and the company.

  • Attend corporate events, industry conferences and trade shows, and team meetings both locally and internationally.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Manager.

  • Basic understanding of API languages (JSON, XML); familiarity with system architecture is a plus.

  • Ability to translate customer requirements into detailed PRDs; experience launching and scaling MVP products is a strong advantage.

  • Experience in TMC, OTA, travel distribution, or hospitality is highly preferred.

  • Fluent English is required; Chinese is a plus.


Travel: 10% annually including nationally and internationally with overnight stays.

Work Environment: This job operates in an office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Work is typically indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
