  • Experience in Fine Dining:

    • Minimum of 2-3 years of bartending experience, ideally within a high-end Italian or European fine dining setting.
    • Demonstrated familiarity with Italian spirits, liqueurs, and classic Italian cocktails, such as Negronis, Spritzes, and Bellinis.

  • Italian Wine and Spirits Knowledge:

    • Extensive knowledge of Italian wines, regions, and pairings to complement La Stella's authentic menu.
    • Ability to discuss wines confidently with guests, offering pairing recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
    • A sommelier or wine certification is highly regarded but not mandatory.

  • Craftsmanship in Mixology:

    • Expertise in creating visually appealing, innovative cocktails with premium ingredients, highlighting Italian flavors and presentation.
    • Capability to design seasonal cocktails using high-quality, fresh ingredients that align with the culinary standards of La Stella.

  • High-Level Customer Service:

    • Exceptional communication skills to deliver personalized service and create a welcoming experience, especially given La Stella’s focus on Italian hospitality.
    • Capacity to read guest preferences and make thoughtful recommendations in line with the restaurant’s ambiance and menu.

  • Strong Collaboration Skills:

    • Team-oriented mindset to collaborate seamlessly with both front-of-house staff and kitchen personnel, ensuring a smooth and cohesive dining experience.
    • Adaptability in supporting service flow, including assisting with table orders or specialty wine presentations.

  • Attention to Detail and Presentation:

    • Commitment to the highest standards in drink presentation and bar cleanliness, upholding La Stella’s reputation for quality and elegance.
    • Keen eye for details, ensuring all drinks meet the restaurant’s aesthetic and taste expectations.

  • Adaptability and Stress Management:

    • Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure, especially during peak service times, maintaining a professional demeanor.
    • Multitasking skills to manage high demand while keeping track of drink orders and customer preferences.

  • Compliance and Certification:

    • Required to have TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) certification and a food handler’s certification.
    • Familiarity with health and safety guidelines to ensure all drinks are prepared in line with regulatory standards.

  • Physical Stamina:

    • Capable of standing for long shifts, moving efficiently around the bar, and handling large trays as needed.
