Study.com is seeking a Director of Product for our College Degree segment to lead product management and go-to-market initiatives for alternative college credit companies and online universities. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between the product and marketing teams, shaping the product strategy to meet market needs and aligning with our brand vision. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and the broader marketing team to drive product acquisition & conversion, user engagement, and overall product success, delivering high-stakes learning experiences to millions of aspiring learners.

This role is based in our Mountain View, CA office and is hybrid in office Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the College degree product team while fostering cross functional organizational alignment to ensure deep understanding and a unified approach to product development, launch plans, and post-launch growth
  • Design and own the College degree go-to-market strategy, aligning your vision with our ambitious goals.
  • Drive the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market plans for new products and features, ensuring clear communication and product positioning aligned with customer needs.
  • Deeply understand our College degree user needs and our business levers to inform business and product strategy.
  • Partner with research and data teams to gather and analyze customer insights, serving as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring that product development is aligned with customer needs and pain points.
  • Craft compelling product messaging that highlights the value proposition of our college learner products to various audiences, internal and external.
  • Define success metrics for new initiatives, track product performance, and work in an iterative process with structured a/b testing and user feedback to prove sustained positive impact of new products and features, ensuring insights from prior launches are incorporated into future efforts
  • Champion revenue growth, optimize our pricing and packaging strategy, and collaborate with marketing to refine channel strategies for maximum conversion and retention.
  • Work with partners and stakeholders in an iterative process that combines qualitative user feedback, quantitative data, competitive insights, industry partnerships and structured A/B testing
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and broader industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Develop training materials and work with sales and customer service teams to ensure a deep understanding of the products, features, and positioning.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience leading product teams, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Proven track record launching growth products, achieving aggressive growth targets, optimizing pricing and packaging, and building go-to market strategy
  • Experience in higher education, specifically working with college/alternative college credit products and college degree coaching
  • Experience building products based on AI technology as well as using AI for functional product management tasks
  • Ability to use quantitative and quantitative data and customer feedback to prioritize resources and quantify expected impact
  • Strong analytical skills, able to leverage data and insights to inform product marketing strategies and decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill with a talent for storytelling and simplifying complex concepts.
  • Experience with partnering with digital marketing on multiple acquisition channels
  • Comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment, and be able to think big while paying careful attention to detail

The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $230,000 per year. Pay and is dependent upon factors including skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
