Job Summary
As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of fire alarm systems. Your expertise will ensure that fire detection and alarm systems operate effectively, complying with all local and national codes and standards. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality service and support.

Key Responsibilities
Installation and Setup:
Install, program, and test fire alarm systems in commercial, and industrial settings.
Ensure all installations meet local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintenance and Repair:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with fire alarm systems, implementing repairs as needed.

Testing and Certification:
Perform regular testing of fire alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
Prepare and submit documentation for inspections and certifications.

Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients regarding system operations, maintenance needs, and recommendations.
Provide training to clients on fire alarm system operation and safety protocols.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, inspections, and tests performed.
Update system drawings and schematics as necessary.
 

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in fire alarm systems preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of [2-5] years of experience in fire alarm system installation and maintenance.
Familiarity with NFPA codes and local fire safety regulations.
Skills:
Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
