Position Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to help develop and launch our new psychiatric services. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping Illumma's psychiatric offerings, including the implementation of our Spravato® (esketamine) program, psych medication management, tapering protocols, and psychiatric evaluations. The ideal candidate will have a deep interest in psychedelic mental health, a passion for patient-centered care, and an entrepreneurial spirit for business development.

This position offers a flexible schedule of 1–2 days per week, with a mix of in-clinic and remote work and the potential to grow into a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the clinical team to design and launch new psychiatric services.

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and tapering protocols for clients.

  • Oversee the launch and ongoing management of the Spravato® program, including patient assessments, monitoring, and follow-up care.

  • Provide clear education and documentation to patients regarding medication use and treatment plans.

  • Coordinate with clients’ existing mental health providers as needed to ensure seamless care.

  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions in compliance with HIPAA standards.

  • Promote safety and effective treatment through real-time communication with staff and providers.

  • Stay up-to-date on current research and trends in psychiatry, psychedelic therapy, and alternative mental health care approaches.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of Texas.

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in psychiatry or a related field.

  • Experience or strong interest in psychedelic therapies and alternative mental health approaches.

  • DEA certification (required).

  • BLS (required) & ACLS certifications (preferred).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Pay: $62–68/hour (depending on experience).

  • Part-time schedule: 1–2 days per week.

  • Location: A combination of remote and in-person work at our Austin clinic; exact needs are TBD.
