Gerhart is looking for a Process Instrumentation Field Service Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning Routine Field Service, Non-Routine Repairs, and Coordinated Installations: Oversee your team to plan and execute routine calibration services, repair, and installation of industrial instrumentation and control equipment (such as Pressure Transmitters, Temperature Transmitters, Flow Meters, Level Transmitters and their associated devices in process plants and manufacturing plants).
  • Safety: Our #1 goal is to keep everyone safe every day. Understand, Promote, and ensure adherence to all safety standards and regulations revolving around our work.
  • Team Building: Recruit, train, and manage a team of skilled electro-mechanical technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Support: Empower your team to succeed and provide effective, unrivaled, customer service and support.
  • Department Collaboration: We provide comprehensive industrial solutions to our customers, and we strive to make it easy to work with Gerhart. Collaborate with our Engineering, Fabrication, Weighing equipment, and Project installation teams to provide the best possible customer experience.
  • Metrics Tracking: Monitor and ensure department efficiency, quality, and compliance with technical specifications. Improve the efficiency and commercial performance of your field service team while enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshooting/Problem Solving: Be a dynamic thinker and develop innovative solutions to challenges our service technicians and customers have in the field.
  • Service Sales: Work with our business development team to identify, specify, and create proposals for new service work and maintenance contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree, or advanced technical experience in maintenance and process instrumentation, to provide expert field service of industrial instrumentation and controls for the entire Gerhart territory.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of field service planning, scheduling, and resource management to forecast and manage staffing requirements meeting current and future workloads.
  • Ability to provide a department leadership and management skills to direct a field service team with day-to-day employee management, technical guidance, and mentorship.
  • Demonstrate excellent employee relations skills to empower a team to meet commitments and continuously drive team improvement.
  • Use your knowledge of industrial instrumentation, electrical equipment, and control systems to ensure the field services the team provides adhere to industry standards.
  • Good communication and proven customer relations skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license for your state of residence.
  • Physically able to bend, crawl, and lift 50 lb in a safe manner.
  • Must be computer proficient in Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, e-mail and Internet use.
