Chicago, United States Janus Health: Shape the Future of Healthcare Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

We're a team of passionate, engaged experts committed to forever changing the healthcare industry for the better. We believe in a world where healthcare functions efficiently. If you're ready to build a rewarding career in tech, where your contributions will have a tangible impact on the lives of both health system employees and patients, we'd love for you to join our team

Summary

We are looking for an experienced healthcare Product Manager to join our team Our Product Managers thrive at the intersection of corporate strategy, customer feedback, market trends, and technical considerations. This role collaborates closely with customer-facing teams to gather feedback, feature requests, and market insights that inform our strategy, goals, and prioritization decisions. Those (often unspoken) needs help us make informed long-term strategy decisions, set appropriate mid-term goals, and make near-term prioritization decisions.

The ideal candidate has experience with the revenue cycle at hospital systems and familiarity with various types of non-clinical operational work. Inside of this domain, this candidate should have superior data analysis skills and an interest in data visualization. We do not expect product managers to be or to have been hands-on engineers, but as an integral part of the software development teams, it helps to understand the relative complexity of engineering work.

This role is integral to the development of a new solution at Janus. We are extending existing solutions related to clinical and administrative healthcare documentation to solve a key problem at health systems. This product manager will own the success of this new product from proof of concept to MVP, testing, launch, and future iteration.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain early-stage development processes and create the first comprehensive product roadmap balancing client perspective, technical considerations, and company goals
  • Collaborate with our development partner customers, internal customer success teams, and other Product Management teams to convert business requirements into execution-ready technical requirements.
  • Work in partnership with Engineering Managers to ensure successful delivery of product implementation, feature development, and ongoing product research artifacts.
  • Interpret customer requirements, understanding the operational and technical complexity involved, and articulate a clear narrative around the product development process.
  • Take ownership of a fast-growing product backlog, ensuring work is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with the overall product strategy.
  • Develop trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders such as customer-facing implementation and account management teams.
  • Effectively communicate internally and externally to keep stakeholders well-informed about ongoing efforts, including items not currently prioritized.
  • Identify roadblocks to success and efficiency, proactively working to remove them in order to shorten feedback loops and enhance our collective ability to solve customer problems.
  • Escalate issues and risks to management in a timely manner and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience product management experience in a technical/development environment.
  • Experience with revenue cycle management (RCM), Practice Management, and EHR systems. Experience with Epic preferred.
  • Expertise in using SQL to identify and quantify issues.
  • Hands on experience in creating data visualizations in Amazon QuickSight or equivalent tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile/SCRUM project management concepts.
  • Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and complex problems.
  • Excellent prioritization, logical deduction and organizational skills.
  • Ability to innovate in a fast-growing work environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is an excellent team player.
  • Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) skills.
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a dynamic and constantly changing environment of a startup.
  • Has fun, celebrates success, and contributes to a positive culture
Travel Requirements This role does not require domestic travel. These travel expectations will be communicated by the department manager or executive.
