Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary:We are seeking an organized and detail oriented individual with a minimum of one year of experience in medical claims processing. This is a full-time, on-site position working in Ossining, NY.The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm.Temp-to-hire paying $25-27/hr
  • Process claims including medical, dental, vision, and prescription
  • Understand and analyze insurance EOB’s to ensure maximum cost savings from plans
  • Make calls to providers seeking additional claims information
  • Handle insurance enrollments as well Social Security and other government benefits
  • Maintain database containing data on insurance, Social Security, and medical device coverage
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in claims processing
  • Working knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD9/ICD10, CPT, HCPCS, ADA, HCFA/CMS-1500/UB-04 forms
  • Knowledge, compliance and understanding of HIPAA guidelines
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical insurance
  • Self-starter able to work in a highly accurate, independent and efficient manner
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency using various software programs with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly Outlook and Excel
