We are looking for people to help with a 6-9 month contract for one of our Technology clients. Flexibility for Hybrid work, but must start in the office.

Sales Operations Analysts are responsible for supporting and optimizing a company’s sales processes and strategies, using Salesforce. Their primary role is to help streamline sales operations, improve efficiency, and provide data-driven insights to enhance sales performance. Typical responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data (such as revenue, sales volume, customer trends) to provide actionable insights that help drive sales strategy. They use various tools (e.g., Excel, Salesforce, Looker) to generate reports, dashboards, and forecasts.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop sales forecasts and models to help predict future sales performance. This helps the sales team set realistic goals and quotas.
  • Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in sales processes and work to implement solutions. This may involve refining sales processes, enhancing data quality, and automating manual tasks.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) like lead conversion rates, sales cycle length, customer acquisition costs, and more. They then provide actionable insights to improve these metrics.
  • Sales Support: Provide the sales team with the tools, data, and resources needed to be more effective in their roles. This may include setting up dashboards, creating sales reports, and maintaining sales documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, finance, and product teams to ensure alignment and support overall sales strategy.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in an analytics-based role using Salesforce
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel, Salesforce, Looker, or other data analysis software.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in data handling and reporting.
  • Sales Knowledge: An understanding of sales processes, sales cycles, and common sales metrics.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), and data visualization tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify process bottlenecks and come up with actionable solutions.

The Sales Operations Analyst plays a vital role in driving sales effectiveness. By providing data-driven insights, working with CRM tools, and refining sales processes, they help sales teams focus on what they do best, selling. This role supports data-driven decision-making, helping the company meet its revenue targets more efficiently.
