Our client, an industry-leading manufacturer, is growing and adding a Product Development Engineer to lead new development projects in the Johnson City-Kingsport, TN area. (Relocation package available)

The Product Development Engineer will act as Project Manager, and lead the entire product development process, from concept to production. They will ensure that all product standards are met and that projects stay on time, within scope, and budget.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing product development project from start to finish, including continuous monitoring of timelines, resources, and budgets.

  • Ensuring product designs meet all regulatory, quality, safety, and performance standards, including energy efficiency certifications and environmental compliance.

  • Preparing budgets, control expenditures, and providing progress updates to management.

  • Leading a cross-functional engineering team throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Developing and maintaining systems and documentation to ensure standards are met.

  • Planning product testing, including durability, performance, and safety tests.

  • Resolving technical issues, implementing design changes, and making sure project milestones are met.

  • Supporting the production process by providing design-related input and resolving manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field.

  • 5+ years of experience in product design engineering, specifically gas appliances or HVAC manufacturing.

  • Project management or leadership experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in CAE software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).

  • Experience with thermal systems, fluid dynamics, and electrical systems is a plus.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., UL, CSA, ASME) is desirable.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
