Utility

We are actively hiring experienced dishwashers and cooks to become Utility Team Members at Brick City Vegan. The duties of this combined position include:

Utility Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain a safe, clean, sanitized, and organized dish station area

  • Properly clean and sanitize all dishware

  • Perform all opening and closing duties in the dining room, restroom, and dish area

  • Maintain a clean dining room throughout the shift

  • Clean and sanitize tables and booths after each customer

  • Follow all procedures for maintaining a properly working dish machine

  • Empty trashcans and remove trash bags throughout the day

  • Preparing kitchen area for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations

  • Unload and store deliveries, daily or as needed

  • Prepare food for service according to recipe

  • Assist on kitchen line when needed throughout the shift

  • Prepare menu items to recipe and follow special instructions

  • Follow all food safety standards

  • Sweep and mop floors following all safety guidelines, especially if items are broken or spilled

  • Practice safe work habits to avoid injury to self and others

  • Supporting other team members by assisting with other tasks, as needed

  • Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures

  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times.

  • Maintain the organization of all chemical and cleaning supplies; including the proper storage of mops, brooms, etc.


Utility Team Member Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Maintain a professional appearance

  • Must have relative work experience

  • Be a team player and work as a team

  • Recognize the needs of the customer

  • Ability to follow a recipe

  • Knowledge of knife safety

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Exceptional time management skills

  • Able to maintain professionalism at all times

  • Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds

  • Willingness to comply with all food and safety procedures

Salary:

  • $15.00 per hour
