We are seeking a mid to senior-levelArchitect with at least seven (7) years of experience to join our rapidly growing team. Our work has a major focus on projects for Federal Government Agencies, Military Bases and Facilities, and Medical Centers. The candidate may work onsite or hybrid in Lakewood, CO or Grand Junction, CO.

Job Description Summary:

We are looking for a candidate with a willingness to learn, and that can create construction documents for commercial and government facilities and mixed-use buildings. This would include providing the preparation of design and technical solutions for a variety of project types and sizes, review of developed construction documents, investigation of existing conditions, and assisting in the development of building and campus standards.

While the position’s role is primarily focused on architecture, typical planning projects may include feasibility studies, zoning and policy analysis, coordination with local governments and stake holders, annexation, site plan submittals, development code writing, public process and collaboration with affiliated engineering services.

The successful candidate requires a knowledge of building materials, constructability, building systems, building codes, and must possess strong problem solving and technical skills. The successful candidate should be able to perform duties with general direction and be able to work independently and collaboratively toward design and technical solutions. The successful

candidate needs to have good oral and written communication skills to collaborate with diverse staff including engineering, maintenance, research operations, and others.

 

Responsibilities:

Review and coordinate in-house and outsourced design projects by reviewing and developing. Statement of Works, Construction Drawings and Specifications.

Review and provide design and technical solutions for a variety of project types and sizes at various campuses and leased facilities based upon Client's standards, user requirements, IBC and NFPA codes.

Assist with construction administration of fast-track construction projects.

Assist with estimating project costs to help establish reasonable baseline budgets and schedules including contingencies.

Assist with investigating, creating, and documenting client's standards and guidelines for material finishes, life safety, campus master planning, buildings, and workspaces.

Ensure the project conforms to client requirements and architectural program, code requirements, and company mission

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge and coordination of building systems including electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and sustainability.

Ability to analyze existing project conditions, costs of similar past projects, and research project materials as needed.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Proactive, passionate, well-organized, and detail oriented.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

7 years relevant and professional experience with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree or 5 years relevant experience with Master of Architecture Degree. (Equivalent relevant experience may be substituted for education.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Government and Medical design and/or remodel experience.

Experience with BIM/REVIT.

Federal sector experience preferred.

 

Job Location: Prefer Lakewood, CO or Grand Junction, CO, hybrid. This is not a remote job.

Education Level: 4-year Degree from an accredited university

Certification(s): AIA

Years of work experience: 7+ years of professional experience

Hourly Pay Range: $44.71 - $69.23
