Electrical Superintendent Job DescriptionAt JE Dunn Construction, we're committed to building perfection, and we need inspired individuals to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's safety culture and create awareness through individual actions and mentoring others.
- Investigate safety incidents, retrain staff as needed, and manage subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow.
- Manage and oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEOC for a small project or a major portion of a larger project.
- Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work, coordinate and manage the care, custody, and control of the project site, and lead various meetings.
- Communicate key project information to owners, design teams, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and other departments.
- Evaluate progress on self-perform work, make adjustments as needed, and manage material and equipment needs for the project.
- Support the MOC and DLSC procurement and approval processes, assist in the selection of formwork, tools, and equipment, and manage timecard approval processes.
- Ensure quality compliance through the use of specifications, setting quality standards, in-house QA/QC, and outside resources.
- Support project closeouts by supervising pre-punch activities and coordinating activities with the owner, architect, and governing authorities.
Requirements:
- Participate in the project pursuit process and methodology, partner with field leadership to establish field staffing, and partner with project management to identify schedule and costs associated with project changes.
- Participate in the negotiation process with the owner and architect to gain agreement for project changes and participate in project buy-out meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
- Understand and apply the terms and conditions of the owner and subcontractor contracts for the project and identify and recruit top talent.
- Lead, support, and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within JE Dunn and understand JE Dunn's policy of non-discrimination.
