Day to day as a Quality TechnicianAs a new Quality Technician at Barron Industries Inc, you can expect an engaging environment filled with hands-on tasks and opportunities for growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing routine inspections in our lab, where you'll utilize tech such as spectrometers and conduct tensile tests on various metal components. You'll be responsible for evaluating charpy bars to gauge material integrity and ensure our products adhere to strict quality standards.
Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, allowing you to enjoy evenings free for personal activities or further learning. Collaboration with fellow team members will be essential, as you'll participate in problem-solving sessions and contribute to innovative projects that drive excellence in our production processes. Requirements for this Quality Technician jobTo thrive as a Quality Technician at Barron Industries Inc, you will need a blend of technical skills and personal attributes. Strong communication skills are essential, allowing you to effectively relay findings and collaborate with colleagues. Organization skills are crucial for managing multiple tasks and maintaining accurate records in our lab environment.
Having at least two years of experience in precision casting is preferred, as this background equips you with insights into metal properties and testing requirements. A two-year degree in engineering, lab tech, or a similar field will provide you with foundational knowledge vital for the role. Additionally, AS9100 training or experience is highly regarded, as it emphasizes quality management standards that align perfectly with our commitment to excellence.
