Service Writer

Job Summary:The Service Writer serves as the primary customer contact to promote quality customer service and drive business growth within the branch location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, both on the phone and in-person, fostering positive relationships with key clients.
- Analyze customer needs, gather relevant information, and open work orders; provide quotes, develop claims, prepare repair plans, schedule work, and update customers on the status of repairs.
- Create complex work orders, including diagnostic plans, quotes, and repair plans, by assessing parts and labor availability; review plans with the Service Supervisor/Team Lead prior to customer contact.
- Collaborate with the Service Supervisor and/or Team Lead to schedule job assignments efficiently.
- Resolve customer concerns regarding Client' or distributor warranties and explain charges transparently.
- Monitor key performance metrics for the workshop, including labor productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Strong customer-facing skills.
- Experience in a dealership or similar field.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software.
