Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are in search of a Plant Controller to join our growing team in the Manufacturing industry, based in Algoma, Wisconsin. The Plant Controller will play a crucial role in managing the plant's financial reporting, cost accounting, and budgeting processes, among other responsibilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's financial performance and strategic direction.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Plant Management Team to ensure the financial performance of the plant and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Oversee the plant's internal financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Assist in the creation and management of the plant's approved budget.
• Analyze data and make recommendations for improvements and cost savings to support the achievement of overall plant objectives.
• Manage the forecasting process, including analyzing trends and patterns, determining their impact, and making recommendations for the plant.
• Assist in the achievement of the overall plant strategy as a part of the Plant Management Team.
• Manage systems for accurate and complete accounting and reporting of job costs, overhead, inventory controls and policies, and physical counts.
• Oversee the month-end closing process and manage associated balance sheet management, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Develop and manage a high performing team capable of carrying out the Finance and Accounting functions and responsibilities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and support the achievement of operations objectives.
• Support the Plant's customer service efforts and contribute to the overall effectiveness of customer relationships.• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions.
• Experience in preparing and managing Annual Budgets.
• Familiarity with Auditing procedures and principles.
• Ability to manage Budget Processes effectively.
• Skilled in Forecasting financial outcomes.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures.
• Strong background in Cost Accounting.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough Analysis on financial data.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
