Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing Purchasing Coordinator to join our fast-paced team. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process by managing all aspects of purchasing and inventory. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing purchase orders, maintaining materials, and utilizing excel to streamline and improve our purchasing processes. This position requires at least 3 years of experience in a similar role and offers the opportunity to grow within our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage daily purchasing activities including the creation, issuance, and maintenance of Purchase Orders (POs).
2. Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
3. Collaborate with the production team to forecast needs and establish purchasing schedules.
4. Utilize Excel to track and analyze purchasing trends, identify opportunities for cost savings, and improve efficiency.
5. Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and maintain strong relationships.
6. Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
7. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
8. Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
9. Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
10. Work closely with others in the procurement function to prepare and implement the company's purchasing strategy.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
3. Proven experience in managing POs and maintaining materials.
4. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Knowledge of supply chain and inventory control systems.
6. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
7. Accurate and precise attention to detail.
8. Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
9. Goal-oriented, organized team player.
10. Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
