Job Description

A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker. This role involves handling various warehouse tasks including receiving and restocking inventory, dispatch, and overstock management.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and restock inventory.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks.
  • Break down boxes and package items for shipment.
  • Use order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders.
  • Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed.
  • Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach material for the automotive industry (rolling stairs may range from 7-15 steps long).
Essential Skills
  • Experience with picking and packing.
  • Proficiency in using RF scanners.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks.
  • Comfortable lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Capable of standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, and reaching with hands and arms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Must be comfortable utilizing a rolling safety ladder.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivated.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat.
Why Work Here?

Once hired directly, employees receive a $0.50 increase and will be trained on forklift operation, which leads to an additional dollar increase. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually high due to forklifts and other machines running through the facility. The working hours are 2PM-10:30PM, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Employees must wear plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toed shoes. No logos for beer, alcohol, etc. are permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, California.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00
