Job Description
  • A distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks including loading and unloading materials, packaging items for shipment, and using order pickers and RF scanners to fulfill orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload materials from trucks
  • Break down boxes and package items for shipment
  • Use order pickers and RF scanners to fulfill orders
  • Assist Warehouse Supervisors as needed
  • Package items for shipment
  • Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach material for the automotive industry
Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in using RF scanners and order pickers
  • Experience with loading and unloading materials
  • Ability to package items for shipment
  • Knowledge of warehouse inventory processes
  • Experience in shipping and receiving
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladder, about 5-7 steps (will rarely utilize a 15 ft stair ladder but needs to be comfortable when needed for shipping)
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat

Work Environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually high due to forklifts and other machinery operating within the facility.
  • The dress code requires plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes.
  • The shift hours are as follows: Receiving 1st Shift: 5am-1:30pm, Monday to Friday with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Shipping 1st Shift: 5:30am-2pm, Monday to Friday with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brea, California.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
